CHECK FIRST. SUBMIT WITH CONTEXT.

Will this file fit?

Copy the requirements from your portal, then choose a file. We’ll compare its size, actual format and image dimensions. Your file stays on this device.

1. Enter the requirements

Use the rules for the exact upload field. Values below are examples, not portal defaults.

No upload, no saved copy. Selecting another file replaces this report.

What this check tells you

A file has both a name and a format. The checker reads its initial bytes to identify supported formats instead of trusting the extension alone. It compares the file’s byte size to your limit and asks the browser to decode images to read their dimensions. It does not parse PDF pages or verify that a document is authentic.

Why a file can still be rejected

A portal may check encryption, page count, document age, colour, signatures, naming rules or the contents of a document. Those checks are outside this report. A small enough file can also be unreadable after compression. Always open the output and inspect the portal’s preview before you submit.

KB and KiB: leave a little room

100 KB means 100,000 bytes under the decimal convention; 100 KiB means 102,400 bytes. Portals do not always label this precisely. If the rule is unclear, use the smaller allowance and keep some headroom. A 99,000-byte file passes both size interpretations, but still needs the other document checks.
