Converting a PDF to JPG images is useful whenever you need to display a document's content without requiring the viewer to have a PDF reader installed — common on websites, social media, and instant messaging platforms. JPG format also makes it easy to annotate pages in standard image editors.
This converter renders each PDF page at a configurable resolution and exports them as high-quality JPEG images bundled in a ZIP download. The engine handles both vector-based PDFs (where text and shapes are drawn as paths) and scanned PDFs (where each page is already a raster image).
Businesses use PDF-to-JPG conversion for product catalogues shared on WhatsApp, Instagram previews of brochures, and e-learning platforms that display course material as images. Students use it to turn lecture slides into shareable image galleries. Designers use it to import PDF artwork into image editing tools that don't natively open PDFs.
How to use this utility
- Open this page and upload the file you want to process.
- Choose options if shown, then run the action. Processing is designed to finish within seconds for typical files.
- Download the result immediately. Server-side jobs use temporary storage with automatic expiry.
Common use cases
- Sharing individual slides from a presentation as images on LinkedIn or WhatsApp.
- Inserting a PDF page into a Word document or Google Slides as an image.
- Creating social media previews of product catalogues and brochures.
- Extracting cover page artwork from a PDF for use as a thumbnail.
- Importing technical drawings or schematics from PDF into an image editing tool.
Tips for best results
- 1Choose 200 DPI for web sharing (smaller files, good screen quality) and 300 DPI for print-quality exports.
- 2If you only need one specific page, split the PDF first and then convert just that page to save time.
- 3For presentations, PNG mode (if available) gives sharper text than JPG at equivalent file sizes.
- 4If the background shows as black after conversion, your PDF may have a transparent background — add a white fill before converting.
- 5For long PDFs (50+ pages), the ZIP download may take a minute to prepare; keep the page open until the download starts.
Frequently asked questions
- Is Konnect2Tools free?
- Yes. Public tools are free and do not require an account.
- Do you keep my files?
- Server inputs and outputs expire according to the job retention setting (two hours by default) and are removed by periodic cleanup. Download the result promptly; deletion is not immediate at download.
- Is the PDF to JPG tool safe to use?
- Use HTTPS and only files you have the right to process. Server jobs temporarily store inputs and outputs until expiry and periodic cleanup. Keep an original copy.
- What resolution (DPI) should I choose for my use case?
- Use 96 DPI for thumbnail previews, 150 DPI for screen reading on desktop, 200–250 DPI for email or web, and 300 DPI for printing or professional archiving.
- Why does the output image look blurry?
- If the source PDF was created from a low-resolution scan, the output images will mirror that quality. For scanned PDFs, 200 DPI output is typically the practical maximum — increasing DPI beyond the scan resolution adds no detail.
- Can I convert only certain pages instead of the whole PDF?
- Yes — split the PDF first to isolate the pages you want, then run the converter on the smaller file. This also speeds up processing for large documents.
- How is the quality different between JPG and PNG output?
- JPG uses lossy compression and is best for photographs and complex artwork. PNG uses lossless compression and is better for diagrams, text-heavy slides, and screenshots where sharp edges are important.
