The Invoice Generator helps freelancers, consultants, and small businesses create professional invoices instantly — no signup, no subscription, no data upload. Fill in your business details, client information, and line items to generate a print-ready invoice that you can save as PDF using your browser's built-in print functionality.

A proper invoice establishes payment terms, provides legal documentation of the transaction, and facilitates GST filing for registered businesses. Our invoice includes all essential fields: invoice number (sequential for accounting), invoice date, due date (typically Net-15 or Net-30), line items with quantity and rate, subtotal, and a notes section for payment instructions.

For businesses not registered under GST (turnover below ₹20 lakh), this plain invoice is appropriate. For GST-registered businesses, use our separate GST Invoice Generator which includes GSTIN, HSN/SAC codes, and proper CGST/SGST/IGST breakdowns as required by the GST Act.

Frequently asked questions

Is Konnect2Tools free?
Yes. These in-browser tools are completely free to use with no account required for core functionality.
Do my files leave my device?
Browser document operations run locally, except where the operation uses an external service, such as AI summarisation. Read the processing note before using sensitive inputs.
Is the Invoice Generator tool safe to use?
Local operations process document content on your device. External-service operations may send inputs as described in the processing note. Keep originals and inspect the output.
Does this invoice comply with GST regulations?
This is a plain invoice without GST breakdown — appropriate for non-GST registered businesses or for businesses billing for items/services exempt from GST. If you are GST registered and your client is a business, use our GST Invoice Generator which includes mandatory fields like GSTIN, HSN/SAC codes, and CGST/SGST breakdown.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Click the 'Print / Save as PDF' button. In the print dialog, change the destination to 'Save as PDF' (Chrome) or 'Print to PDF'. Adjust margins to 'None' or 'Minimal' for a clean A4 PDF. The form fields are hidden in print view for a professional document.
Is there a legal requirement to number invoices sequentially?
For GST-registered businesses, sequential invoice numbers within a financial year are mandatory. For unregistered businesses, sequential numbering is a best practice for accounting and bookkeeping. The format can be anything (INV-2025-001, F2025/01, etc.) as long as it is unique and sequential.
What should I put in the notes section?
Payment instructions: bank name, account number, IFSC code, and UPI ID. Payment terms (e.g., 'Payment due within 15 days of invoice date'). Late payment charges if applicable. Any project-specific terms. Tax deduction information (e.g., 'Please deduct TDS under Section 194J at 10% before payment').
