The Salary Slip Generator creates professional monthly payslips with complete earnings and deductions breakdown. A salary slip (or pay stub) is an official document issued by employers each month showing gross salary, all allowance components, statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, professional tax), tax deductions (TDS), and net take-home pay.
Salary slips are required for multiple purposes: applying for home loans (lenders require 3–6 months of slips), visa applications, rental agreements, credit card applications, and job changes (salary negotiation). Self-employed professionals and freelancers sometimes need to generate salary slips for their own business entity when taking a formal salary draw.
Our generator supports the standard Indian CTC structure: Basic (40–50% of CTC), HRA (40–50% of basic, higher for metro cities), Travel Allowance, Medical Allowance, Special Allowance, minus statutory deductions (PF 12% of basic, ESIC 0.75% of gross for employees below ₹21,000), Professional Tax (state-specific, up to ₹200/month), and TDS based on annual income estimates.

Frequently asked questions
- Is Konnect2Tools free?
- Yes. These in-browser tools are completely free to use with no account required for core functionality.
- Do my files leave my device?
- Browser document operations run locally, except where the operation uses an external service, such as AI summarisation. Read the processing note before using sensitive inputs.
- Is the Salary Slip Generator tool safe to use?
- Local operations process document content on your device. External-service operations may send inputs as described in the processing note. Keep originals and inspect the output.
- Is a self-generated salary slip valid for loan applications?
- Banks generally require salary slips from the employing organization on company letterhead. Self-generated slips without company letterhead are typically not accepted for formal loan purposes. However, for documentation of your own company's payroll, a properly formatted slip is valid for internal accounting purposes.
- What is the difference between CTC, gross salary, and net salary?
- CTC (Cost to Company) includes all employer costs: gross salary + employer PF + ESIC + gratuity provision + other benefits. Gross salary is the total before deductions. Net salary (take-home) is gross minus employee deductions (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS). A ₹10L CTC roughly gives ₹7.5–8L gross and ₹6.5–7L net.
- What deductions are mandatory on salary?
- Statutory mandatory deductions: EPF (12% of basic, for organizations with 20+ employees), ESIC (0.75% of gross for employees earning ≤₹21,000), Professional Tax (state law, up to ₹200/month), and TDS based on estimated annual tax liability. All other deductions require employee consent.
- How is HRA exemption calculated?
- HRA exemption = minimum of three values: (1) Actual HRA received; (2) Actual rent paid minus 10% of basic salary; (3) 50% of basic salary (metro) or 40% (non-metro). Only the portion of HRA that exceeds the exempt amount is taxable. Submit rent receipts to employer for the exemption to be applied in Form 16.
